THE CALL: How Art and Blockchain Will Transform Society

Art has always reflected society- its joys, struggles, and sorrows. But with the power of blockchain technology, art no longer only reflects—it can take action and address the problems it depicts. Impactivism aims to empower creators through the socialization of impact by combining art, activism, and blockchain.

The Vision

Impactivism envisions a future where art plays a role beyond that traditional role and is a catalyst for real-world change. With the unique abilities that blockchain can provide, we want to:

• Amplify Voices: Open to all genders, this first volume in our competition is about Women. Women's contributions to the arts have long been overlooked. Women artists have gained visibility and opportunities and made a real-world difference through Impactivism. They have some of the most powerful stories to tell, voices to elevate, and diversity of experiences reflected.  

• From Social Change to Social Impact via NFTs: Art should speak to the most pressing social issues and work directly to address them. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) offer a revolutionary way to fundraise for social causes. Bysplitting the smart contract with the artist and charitable organizations aligned with the artist's mission, we enable seamless funds transfer.

• Encourage Global Collaboration:  A movement that thrives on collaboration, bringing together giants of creativity, activists, technologists, and supporters who see art and the power of the blockchain as a way to impact societies and close divides.

Why?

We didn't invent blockchain art for social impact, but we boldly state that this is a revolution in the history of art. This movement goes beyond the artistic- it is also a social revolution. The same technology that allows art to support social issues can be applied to anything involving digital money exchange. This movement is the convergence of art, technology, and activism at a historical moment. Blockchain technology will lead us to a future offering never-before-seen transparency, decentralization, and accessibility.
